Sorbet is surprisingly effortless to make at home and usually only requires two or three ingredients. Better still, you don’t even need an ice cream maker! These fantastic frozen desserts are bright, cool, and bursting with fruity goodness. Between the sweet strawberry and colorful mango, there’s a sorbet recipe here for everyone. So, why not try them all, and let me know if you can pick a favorite!

1. 3-Ingredient Mango Sorbet (No-Churn!)

This creamy, brilliant yellow-orange sorbet is one of my favorite mango desserts. It’s gluten and dairy-free, vegan-friendly, and uses only three ingredients: maple syrup, frozen mango, and lime juice. It’s unbelievably smooth and almost comically easy to make (dump everything in a food processor, transfer the mixture to a pan, and freeze). It has a tart and zesty flavor that’s almost like eating pure mangoes with a little bit of extra oomph. Just remember to use frozen mango, as fresh won’t give you the right consistency. Once it’s ready, you can enjoy it alone or topped with your favorite fruits and berries. Either way, it’s an excellent sorbet option.

2. Peach Sorbet

Peach sorbet has the same vibrant yellow-orange color as the mango sorbet above, and it, too, uses only three ingredients. You’ll need fresh, frozen, or canned peaches along with caster sugar, and lemon juice for this one. It’s just as simple to make too (food processor – pan – freezer). If you prefer your sorbets a little more on the sweet side, you’ll probably enjoy this one. It tastes like a perfectly ripe, sweet Georgia peach. The lemon juice barely registers. Of course, if you want to keep that hint of tartness in it, you can always add more lemon juice. Be sure to do so slowly, though, as you can get it sour fast.

3. Refreshing Orange Sorbet

Though you don’t need to serve this in a hollowed-out orange peel, you can’t deny it looks impressive! That said, it’ll be a hit either way. It tastes like a sweeter, more solid version of orange juice, which makes sense considering the only ingredients are orange juice, water, and sugar – four to six tablespoons to be exact. I know that may seem like a lot, and I’ve found it doesn’t need quite so much. So, feel free to start slowly with the sugar and add more until it tastes sweet enough for you.

4. Margarita Sorbet (Small Batch)

Another great thing about sorbet is that you can easily turn it into a boozy treat. Yes, you read that right. This is like a yummy frozen cocktail that you eat with a spoon. So, if you like to get a little buzzed while enjoying your dessert, this margarita sorbet is the treat for you. Think of it like a regular marg, only icier. It combines water, sugar, lime zest and juice, tequila, and triple sec. Just be careful to add the liquors by the tablespoon, not by ounces, as four ounces of tequila and one of triple sec could hit harder than you might like.

5. Homemade Blackberry Sorbet

To make this simple, pretty pink dessert, you’ll need water, sugar, salt, and fresh or frozen blackberries. Don’t worry, you’ll barely taste the salt, and the sugar accentuates – not masks – the berries. It takes about 50 minutes to prepare and churn this sorbet and another 8 hours or so to freeze it. That means it takes longer than others on the list, but it’s more than worth it in the end. Additionally, if you don’t have an ice cream machine, you can still make this scrumptious sorbet. Check out the recipe notes at the bottom to find out how.

6. 2-Ingredient Pineapple Sorbet

Because pineapples are sweet enough on their own, you won’t have to add any additional sweeteners to this two-ingredient sorbet. All you’ll need are pineapple cubes and lime juice. It’s smooth, cold, and full of tropical pineapple yumminess. It’s actually pretty similar to Dole Whip if you’ve ever had it, but this version is healthier and easier to make. If you like pineapples, you’ll love this simple sorbet recipe.

7. 3-Ingredient Easy Strawberry Sorbet (Without an Ice Cream Maker!)

This ruby-red strawberry sorbet is gorgeous to look at and insanely tasty. You’ll whip it up with nothing more than strawberries, raw honey, and warm water. How easy is that? If you don’t like sorbet that’s super sweet, you may not even need the honey, as strawberries have quite enough natural sweetness on their own. With or without the honey, strawberry sorbet is always well-received; I enjoy it on top of a rich piece of decadent chocolate cake. Delish!

8. Raspberry Sorbet

Raspberry sorbet is just as beautiful as the strawberry recipe above. Plus, they both feature the same bright red color – though the raspberry sorbet has a hot pink tint. That said, this one is quite a bit sweeter. You’ll make it with raspberries, sugar, water, vanilla extract, and fresh lime juice. So, it packs a wallop of a flavor punch. Best of all, this is an excellent option if you’re in the mood for a cool, refreshing treat and don’t want to wait. Including freeze time, this one takes only 30 minutes!

9. Grapefruit Sorbet

I’ll be honest; grapefruit isn’t one of my favorite fruits. It’s just a touch too bitter for my sweet tooth. Even so, this grapefruit sorbet isn’t too bad. It has a mild, citrusy flavor, and the cup of granulated sugar sweetens the treat and smooths out the rough, bitter edges. It’s kind of the perfect treat for a warm spring day.

10. Strawberry Banana Sorbet

Unlike grapefruits, which I don’t love, strawberries and bananas are my jam. They just taste so good together – like peanut butter and jelly! Add some fresh lemon juice and agave nectar, mix it in a food processor, and freeze it, and you have one of my all-time favorite sorbets. It’s sweet, features a lovely pink-red color, and tastes wonderfully fruity. No matter who you are, you’re bound to love it. Click on a star to rate it!
