They’re tasty, family-friendly, and basically an entire meal in the palm of your hands! I love burgers because they come in all shapes and sizes. Plus, you can cook them however you like – be it on the grill, in the oven, or even in an Air Fryer! So, whether you like an all-beef patty with classic extras or something a little more unique, I know you’ll find more than one dish to love on this list of burger recipes.
The Perfect Hamburger Patty and More!
1. Steakhouse Burger
This is one of my all-time favorite burger recipes. And it’s possibly the most perfect hamburger patty I’ve ever made. These babies are so tasty and incredibly juicy, not to mention they’re super easy to dress up with toppings. What’s the secret to a juicy burger that’s reminiscent of a fancy steakhouse? Two things. First, you’ll need a blend of seasonings that add a ton of flavor. And second, you need a panade. This mixture of milk and bread keeps the meat extra moist. You have to try this insanely good burger! I bet you won’t buy frozen patties again.
2. Cheese Stuffed Burgers (Juicy Lucy)
The only thing better than a classic cheeseburger is a burger stuffed with cheese. This ooey-gooey dinner requires a few extra steps, but it’s worth it in the end. The “Juicy Lucy” is stuffed to the brim with cheese and caramelized onions for an even richer flavor. And as if that’s not yummy enough, you’ll also add bacon and barbeque sauce. Delish!
3. Lipton Onion Soup Burger
Using Lipton onion soup mix to flavor a burger may not be your first instinct, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t genius. Incorporating a pre-made spice blend makes sense if you think about it. Plus, this has onions in the mix, which boosts the taste to 11. This also eliminates the struggle of creating a blend of your own. Since you can’t taste a raw burger, it’s hard to know if you need more salt or paprika. But this way, the ratios are already set. Win-win!
4. Best Classic Burger
This recipe is for burger purists. It’s a classic patty that requires just a few ingredients and minimal effort. I like to make simple burgers for BBQs because it allows my guests to create their own dinner. So, while I love spicy foods, I don’t add chilies to my patties because not everyone wants heat. Instead, I make neutral (but delicious!) patties, lay out all kinds of toppings and let everybody build their perfect burger.
5. Pizza Burger
Craving a burger and pizza for dinner? Don’t pick just one – have them both! Pile pepperoni, pizza sauce, and cheese on top of a burger patty, and voila! You just solved the dinner time debacle. You can even experiment with toppings based on your pizza preferences. And you haven’t lived until you’ve tried a ‘meat lovers’ burger.
6. Travis Scott Burger
This is a copycat recipe of the epic Travis Scott burger. After a collaboration between the famous rapper and Mcdonald’s in 2020, this burger became an instant hit. What made this burger go viral? First, you’ll toast the buns with garlic butter. Add some thick-cut applewood bacon, and you’re in business. Finally, top it all off with salt, pepper, diced onion, shredded lettuce, and pickles. Yum!
7. Best Ground Chicken Burgers
If you’ve ever had a chicken burger before, you’ll know they can turn dry pretty fast. Luckily, these patties are super moist and flavorful. They’re quick too! Ready in just 30 minutes, they make a terrific, lean dinner option. Serve with a side of sweet potato fries, and watch as those plates are licked clean.
8. Turkey Burger
From one bird to another – turkey burgers have a similar reputation to chicken. And again, these babies are insanely tender and tasty. Even if you’re an avid beef-burger eater, you won’t be disappointed by these flavorful turkey patties. They’re really juicy and loaded with smoky goodness and a hint of spice.
9. Peanut Butter Burger
Peanut butter burgers sound a bit like a mad science experiment. However, just like a classic PB&J…they just work. Peanut butter is creamy, sweet, salty, and nutty. And believe it or not, it pairs well with a smoky burger. I think you’ll love this unique burger recipe if you’re a fan of peanut sauce with Thai spices.
10. Falafel Burgers (Vegetarian, Broiled)
These vegetarian falafel burgers are broiled instead of fried. That means you get all of the delicious crunch without the mess of frying. Packed with veggies and seasoned with lots of herbs and spices, the toppings are just as tasty.
11. Korean Kimchi Burgers
On the hunt for a seriously flavor-packed burger? You just found it! This Korean kimchi burger is over-loaded with cheddar cheese, creamy avocado, grilled scallions, and of course, kimchi. It also has a fantastic Gochujang aioli that makes the burger nice and saucy. Seriously, you’ll want to eat that stuff with a spoon!
12. Salmon Burgers
I love this salmon burger because it’s not overly complicated. So, instead of a million herbs and spices, the flavor of the fish can shine. Tender and moist, the best part is the Greek yogurt herb sauce. It’s a beautiful compliment to the sweet salmon flavor without being overwhelming.
13. Air Fryer Hamburgers
These burgers are super easy and crazy quick to make. Using an Air Fryer speeds up the cooking process and makes the patties insanely delicious without a ton of excess fat. The best part? It’s mess-free! So instead of cleaning the grill or your oil-splattered backsplash, everything is contained in the basket. Just arrange the burgers in a single layer, and they’ll be ready to eat in under 15 minutes!
14. Ginger Sesame Teriyaki Burgers
These veggie burgers are sweet, spicy, and oh-so-flavorful. Quick and easy to make, they’re some of my favorite meatless burgers because they don’t fall apart on the grill. Oh, and they’re crazy-filling! One of these is enough to keep you full for hours.
15. Caramelized Onion Smashed Burgers
Smash burgers are unique because of the crispy edges. Add cheese, and it’s a pretty perfect burger. If you like the idea of a burger with different tastes and textures, you can’t beat these savory smashed patties with gooey cheese and sweet caramelized onions. Toss a few pickles on top for crunch, and be sure to toast the buns! It makes all the difference.
16. Italian Chicken Burgers (Chicken Parmesan Burgers)
This recipe is a beautiful marriage of a burger and chicken parm. It’s juicy and delicious. You’ll make and grill the ground chicken burger patties and then simmer them in marinara sauce. Like any great chicken parmesan, top them with lots of mozzarella cheese to finish. This fabulous burger crossover is perfect for dinner any night of the week!
17. Western Bacon Cheeseburger
Stacked high with bacon, crispy onion rings, tangy BBQ sauce, and cheese, this is a beloved fast-food fave turned into a delicious homemade meal. The western bacon cheeseburger will score major points at your next summer party. I just hope you’re not counting calories because this has quite a few!
18. Greek Lamb Burgers
Greek lamb burgers are a really fun twist on a traditional beef patty. Lamb burgers are juicy, flavorful, and bursting with a fantastic blend of spices. Plus, the fresh mint is a wonderful touch you won’t soon forget. Use pita bread for the “bun” and stuff in as many cucumbers, olives, and feta crumbles as you can handle. For a saucy finish, add creamy tzatziki.
19. Bacon Cheddar Ranch PUB Burgers
Have you ever faced a mountainous burger you can’t fit your lips around? These “Pub Burgers” are just that – and they’re not for the faint of heart. Sure they’re small in diameter, but once you add the toppings, they stand about a mile high. Top a super thick patty with lettuce, tomato, cheddar, peppered bacon, and homemade Ranch aioli. This is like a classic burger but elevated in more ways than one!
20. Mexican Burger
Delicious Mexican flavors in a juicy beef burger? I’m in. This recipe is ideal for when you’re craving delicious South of The Border flavors but need something substantial. The burger patty is spicy and smokey, and the guac is a fantastic creamy compliment. Meanwhile, the standard lettuce and tomato add some freshness and acidity. If you like it spicy, add a dollop of habanero chutney or any salsa you like. If not, keep it simple with avocado crema.
21. White Castle Hamburgers Copycat
These sliders are effortless to make and are as close to the real thing as possible. The patty is very flavorful, and the cooking method ensures they’re moist and juicy! I think they’re tasty enough on their own, but you can’t beat a few strips of bacon and sliced onions.
22. Italian Sausage Burgers
Italian sausage burgers are a scrumptious alternative to beef patties. Plus, they’re stuffed with flavorful veggies and basil for added oomph. These Italian sausage burgers have a ton of flavor from the meat mixture. But it’s the roasted red peppers, banana peppers, and fresh basil that’ll leave you wanting more.
23. Pimento Cheeseburgers
Even hard-core grill masters have probably never had a burger like this pimento cheese dish. This is not your typical cheese-melted-on-meat burger recipe. Instead, there’s a generous helping of mouth-watering cheese spread on top. And I just can’t get enough of it. Pimento cheese is a mix of sharp cheddar, mayo, and pimentos. So it brings a wonderfully tangy creaminess to the burger. It’s not neat, but it’s definitely delish!
24. Smoked Gouda Smash Burgers
These smash burgers have everything you could ever want in a burger. They’re savory, crispy on the edges, juicy, and filling! And all you need is beef and salt! Add some smoked gouda until it melts, then top it off with your favorite burger toppings. The classic lettuce, tomato, and pickle trio is always a winner. But if you want something different, try adding a fried egg!
25. Korean-Style Shrimp Burger
Have you ever had a shrimp burger before? Then, get ready because it might just become your new summer cookout fave! Featuring a super crispy shrimp patty, melted cheese, lettuce, tomato, and dreamy dressing, you’ll need more than one of these bad boys. The Kewpie mayo sauce is by far the best part. It combines all the best burger sauces – ketchup, mayo, and mustard – into one delicious condiment. And yes, you need Kewpie mayo!
26. BEST Bean Burgers
These vegetarian bean burgers are delicious. They’re also vegan, gluten-free, low-fat, and oil-free! Made with kidney beans and only five other ingredients, they’re really simple. And while they’re healthy, they don’t taste like it. Customize these as you see fit, and dig in!
27. Egg-in-a-Hole Breakfast Burger on Cheddar Bacon Brioche
You’ve heard of “egg-in-a-hole,” but I doubt you’ve seen it like this. Instead of cutting a hole in the bread, you’ll cut a hole in the burger patty and crack an egg right into the meat. If you love breakfast sandwiches, you will love this burger – especially if you take the time to make the cheddar and bacon brioche buns. It is so worth it!
28. Hamburger Steak (Hambagu)
This Japanese hamburger steak puts all the attention on the meat. That said, the rich and flavorful red wine reduction is the perfect compliment. Tender and juicy, it may look like it came out of a steakhouse, but it’s super straightforward to whip up at home. Serve this with some steak sides and a glass of red wine.
29. Green Chile Cheeseburger
This smash burger is crispy, juicy, spicy, and oh-so-cheesy. The green chilis are a tangy and slightly zingy addition that brings just enough heat to leave you licking your lips. And when they mix into the melted cheese, it all turns into a queso-like topping that is just heavenly. This New Mexico-style burger is simple, but I love it. If you like green chilis, don’t skip out on this one!
30. Quesadilla Burger {Applebee’s Copycat}
This burger is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a quesadilla with an entire burger inside. It’s cheesy, meaty, and loaded with veggies and a crazy delicious sauce. A fun twist on two dinner favorites, this version is a little healthier but just as tasty. Click on a star to rate it!
