1. Bisquick Corn Fritters

My personal recipe for corn fritters couldn’t be easier. You know me. I enjoy cooking, but I also love simplifying things to make life a breeze. For these corn fritters, there’s no need to make the batter from scratch. Instead of measuring and combining flour, baking powder or soda, sugar, and salt, just take open a box of Bisquick! Thanks to this quick hack, you’ll have golden corn fritters in just half an hour.

2. Quick and Crispy Vegetable Fritters

The best way to sneak veggies into your diet is by coating them in batter and frying them. In just a few steps, those often unwanted vegetables will transform into an addictive snack. For this recipe, you use a mix of shredded carrots and zucchini. The different levels from crunch really give these fritters such personalities. Serve them up with sour cream or yogurt for a delicious and wholesome treat.

These apple fritters taste just like donuts, but even better. There’s no way you’re only eating one of these! Look how gorgeous these beauties are. If they don’t make your mouth water, perhaps there’s something wrong with your salivary glands? And yep, they’re as phenomenal as you imagine them to be. They’re perfectly crisp on the outside, pillowy on the inside, and sweet in every bite.

4. Banana Fritter Recipe (Maruya)

This recipe is for the Filipino version of the classic banana fritters. Considering the country has an abundance of bananas, trust that Filipinos know exactly how to cook the sweet tropical fruit. Called maruya, these fritters are made by mashing ripe bananas and mixing them with flour, sugar, baking powder, egg, and milk. The banana mixture is formed into donuts and pan-fried until golden. They’re sprinkled with sugar for extra sweetness.

5. Zucchini Fritters

Let’s be honest: there’s nothing super enticing about zucchini at all. Sure, it’s good for the body, but no one jumps up and down at the thought of it. Enter, zucchini fritters.  These golden treats are crispy, salty, and simply addictive. Even if you triple the recipe, expect no leftovers.

The bacon alone already tells you these fritters are impossible to resist.  Besides the bacon, the fritters are also well-seasoned with onion and garlic powders. They’re absolutely packed with flavor.

9. Ricotta Fritters

These ricotta fritters are crispy on the outside, and incredibly soft and fluffy on the inside. They’re pancakes made even better! The ricotta adds not just flavor to the fritters but also helps make them super light and airy. It goes to show that cheese really does make everything better.

10. Potato Fritters with Zucchini

These fritters have the combined goodness of potatoes, zucchini, and cheddar cheese!  They’re crispy and crunchy on the outside and tender and creamy on the inside. They’re comfort food at its best. These treats are spectacular on their own, but I highly recommend you serve them with Greek yogurt mixed with fresh chives. This pairing is pure perfection.

11. Basic Cauliflower Fritters

Cauliflower makes life as a vegan or vegetarian a whole lot easier.  While this cruciferous veggie is bland on its own, the great thing about it is that it absorbs flavors very well.  That’s what makes the vegetable an ideal candidate for fritters.  Crispy, tender, and loaded with flavor: that’s the snack you’ll get from this recipe.

12. Crispy Quinoa Sweet Potato Fritters

Quinoa isn’t the most common ingredient you’ll see in fritter recipes. It may seem strange, but don’t knock it till you try it! Combining quinoa, sweet potatoes, onions, greens, and curry powder, these fritters are a wonderful mix of tastes and textures. They’re also incredibly hearty, nutritious, and portable, making them a perfect breakfast on the go.

13. Leftover Rice & Cheese Fritters

Leftover rice has never tasted this good!  These fritters are made from last night’s rice and two kinds of cheese. This is another one of those unusual combos, but trust me, they work like magic. Finished with a sprinkling of sugar, these fritters are sweet, salty, savory, and simply spectacular.

14. Thai Corn Fritters

These Thai corn fritters will make you sing with joy! A mix of corn, coconut milk, green onions, and cilantro, you’d think these fritters will taste just like cornbread, but nope, they don’t. Flavored with garlic chili sauce, ginger paste, and red curry paste, these fritters are definitely unique. They’re primarily sweet and savory, but with hints of warmth and spice from the Asian seasonings.

An awesome way to make peas taste great is to combine them with ham. Case in point? These seriously delectable fritters! This is a simple combo of peas, ham, flour, baking powder, and eggs. These five ingredients, when mixed together and fried, create a snack that’ll absolutely delight.

I’m pretty sure you already have those things lying around in your kitchen!

19. Artichoke & Goat Cheese Fritters

No one likes artichokes on their own, but combine them with goat cheese and turn them into fritters, and everyone will go wild. It’s not just artichokes and cheese, though. The fritters are also seasoned perfectly with thyme, cayenne, smoked paprika, garlic, and lemon.  With these wonderful flavor combinations, these fritters are nothing short of outstanding.

20. Herbed Baked Goat Cheese Fritters

Yes, it’s possible to make fritters without frying! The oven does a wonderful job at cooking and crisping up any batter. Aside from being healthier than the typical fritter, the flavors in these also don’t disappoint. The goat cheese sticks are seasoned with fresh rosemary and thyme, resulting in a lovely flavor combo of salty, creamy, nutty, and earthy.

21. Homemade Fresh Clam Fritters

Clams aren’t just great for chowder, but fritters, too! Aside from the crispy and tender textures, you’ll also love the distinct, briny flavor in these fritters.  Serve them hot with cold yogurt on top for a lovely temperature contrast.

I love the idea of using a fancy ingredient to make a humble dish. This contrast makes for one heck of a dish! Together, they’re unstoppable.

26. Mashed Potato Fritters

Give the classic side dish even more character by turning it into fritters! Mashed potatoes are smooth, creamy, and silky on their own. Coating them in batter and frying them gives them a crunchy-crispy outer crust. It creates a lovely textural contrast.

27. Squash Okoy (Filipino Kalabasa Fritters)

My close friends know how obsessed I am with Filipino food. If you know nothing about this fantastic cuisine, this snack is a good place to start. Kalabasa okoy are made with strips of squash and carrots flavored with green onions, fish sauce, garlic, and pepper and mixed with a wet batter. Once fried, these fritters turn into a beautiful golden brown.  Instead of yogurt or sour cream, these crispy fritters are dunked in a dip of fish sauce and vinegar. Click on a star to rate it!
