My Crockpot is one of the most used item in my kitchen. I actually have two — a small one for dips or a small dinner for two and a large one for hearty meals that will feed a crowd. It’s so versatile and can be used for so many recipes.  When I go to the store, I always pick up ground beef if it’s on sale. If I don’t need it right away, I’ll cook it up and freeze it in one pound increments. This makes it super easy to cook Crockpot meals that require browned ground beef. Just throw everything in the crock pot and off you go! Whether you’re having a dinner party or just need some easy meals, these ground beef recipes will get the job done!

1. Crockpot Hamburger Hash

For a hearty meal, look no further than this Crockpot hamburger hash. This cheesy dish is sure to become a repeat. It has everything you need for a complete meal in one dish. Meat, potatoes, and veggies galore! I love that it’s versatile and allows me to use whatever veggies are left in my fridge. You can even switch out the red potatoes for sweet potatoes.  Throw everything in your Crockpot except for the cheese and let it cook all day. Throw in the cheese at the end and enjoy!

2. Crockpot Cabbage Rolls

A family favorite just got easier. These crock pot cabbage rolls taste amazing after simmering all day! While this recipe takes a little more preparation time than some other Crockpot meals, you won’t be thinking about that after you sneak a taste.  Put your meat mixture in the center of the cabbage leaf and fold up. Place them into the Crockpot and cover with the sauce. That’s it! Plus, this recipe has a secret ingredient — cinnamon!

3. Crockpot Shepherd’s Pie

Savory and flavorful, Crockpot shepherd’s pie really is comfort food at its finest. The hardest part is browning the meat and mashing the potatoes. Although using frozen vegetables is a great way to save time and keep this dish simple. Everything but the mashed potatoes goes into the crock pot. The mashed potatoes get added when there’s two hours left. If you’re looking for a way to save on prep time you could even use instant mashed potatoes!

4. Crockpot Bacon Cheeseburger Soup

For a creative and effortless take on your favorite cheeseburger, give this bacon cheeseburger soup a try.  What do you normally like to eat on your burger? Whatever you just thought of, add it to your soup! This recipe uses ground beef, onions, tomato, bacon, cheese, and you can even add pickles. The beef can be substituted for soy crumbles for a vegetarian meal.  The addition of potatoes makes this a hearty dish the whole family will love!

5. Crockpot Pizza Casserole

Did someone say pizza? This Crockpot pizza casserole is almost as easy as ordering pizza and just as delicious! Gooey and cheesy, this meal can be made in just 30 minutes. Pepperoni or sausage, veggies or not, make your pizza casserole to your liking. Also, feel free to use whatever pasta you have in your pantry. Seriously, it could not get easier! Good thing this foolproof recipe is so simple because your family will be asking for it again and again!

6. Slow Cooker Tater Tot Casserole

Are you tired of spending hours cooking food your kids don’t eat? This slow cooker tater tot casserole is your ticket to a quiet dinner table and full bellies.  I have even more good news — other than browning ground beef, there is absolutely no preparation for this dish. Black beans, corn, salsa, green chiles, taco seasoning, and enchilada sauce all get mixed together and tossed in your Crockpot. Layer with tater tots and let it bubble away.  Don’t forget to add cheese before serving!

7. Crockpot Poor Man’s Stew

Hamburger stew is often referred to as poor man’s stew because it uses simple ingredients and is budget friendly. This crock pot poor man’s stew really is slow cooked perfection.  The ingredient list is so minimal and they’re all staples you keep stocked in your kitchen. It’s well seasoned with onions, carrots, thyme, garlic, and onion powder. The potatoes and beef stock make this a hearty dish and the diced tomatoes pull it all together.  With this rich and savory soup, you can even throw in a few extra veggies. The kids will never know!

8. Slow Cooker Chinese Pie

You won’t find any traditional asian flavors in this slow cooker Chinese pie. It’s actually an adaptation of shepherd’s pie, made by Chinese cooks while building the Canadian railway in the late 19th century.  This pie has layers of ground beef with bell pepper, gravy, potatoes, and corn. After slow cooking for hours, the flavors meld together and become one creamy, succulent dish.  It’s hearty, delicious, and a great meal to eat while telling a fun history lesson!

9. Slow Cooker Stuffed Peppers

These effortless slow cooker stuffed peppers are full of bold Tex-Mex inspired flavors. My favorite thing about these stuffed peppers is that they’re super versatile. This recipe calls for ground beef, brown rice, black beans, corn, and salsa, but you could easily substitute your favorite Mexican ingredients. Don’t forget to finish it with sour cream or guacamole.  These are a complete meal wrapped up in cute, multi colored peppers!

10. Slow Cooker Beef Chili

This slow cooker beef chili should be a staple in everyone’s weekly menu. It’s perfect for a cold winter night, on game day, or on those days when you don’t have a lot of time! It doesn’t taste like it, but this recipe is actually pretty healthy. It’s low in fat with protein and fiber. Although it’s not quite as healthy if you add a ton of cheese and sour cream like me. Serve by itself, with crackers, or even over rice!

11. Slow Cooker Spaghetti Bolognese

Can all of us pasta lovers agree that spaghetti sauce in a slow cooker is genius? Slow cooker spaghetti bolognese is about to become your go-to pasta dish! To get an aromatic and bold bolognese sauce, you need to cook it low and slow all day. But who has that kind of time? Throw all the ingredients into your slow cooker and come back hours later to a beautiful and flavorful spaghetti bolognese. Boil some noodles and enjoy!

12. Slow Cooker Sweet and Sour Meatballs

The classic combination of sweet and sour makes this dish unforgettable. These slow cooker sweet and sour meatballs are sure to replace your take-out order. This recipe calls for homemade meatballs, but you can easily use store-bought to make this meal even easier. The sweetness comes from pineapple and brown sugar while the apple cider vinegar adds that touch of sour.  Serve with a side of rice or noodles for an extra hearty meal the whole family is sure to love!

13. Slow Cooker Golombki

Golombki is basically another way to say stuffed cabbage rolls. Although this slow cooker golombki is much simpler and doesn’t require hours in the kitchen!  Instead of stuffing and rolling cabbage, this recipe has you layer all your ingredients like you would a lasagna. Your sauce, ground beef mixture, and cabbage are layered several times, stacking flavor upon flavor.  Come back hours later to the most tender and juicy golombki!

14. Slow Cooker Sloppy Joes

Countless memories have been made at the dinner table while eating sloppy joes. They’re simple, tasty, and kind of fun to say! I abandoned the store bought sloppy joe sauce years ago when I realized how easy they are to make. Most of the ingredients are pantry staples. Let it bubble away in the slow cooker to allow the flavors to meld together.  You can toast your bun and even add cheese. You’ll never think about the canned sloppy joe sauce ever again!

15. Crockpot Cowboy Casserole

I love when recipes have fun names and am always curious how they got named. Crockpot cowboy casserole just sounds like hearty comfort food.  This recipe uses both ground beef and breakfast sausage giving this dish a ton of flavor. After thinly slicing your potatoes, add it to your crock pot with the remaining ingredients like salsa, beans, corn, and cream of mushroom.  It gets topped with a layer of cheese and cooks for hours making this a creamy dish that will even fill up a cowboy!

16. Crockpot Hamburger Vegetable Soup

I always feel like making huge pots of soup when the weather turns the least bit chilly. This Crockpot hamburger vegetable soup is sure to warm you up! It’s actually a pretty healthy dish even though it doesn’t taste like it. If there are vegetables you don’t like, leave them out and feel free to throw in your favorites! This soup is super versatile and perfect for any time of the year!

17. Crockpot Taco Meat

Even though taco meat doesn’t take a ton of time on it’s own, this Crockpot taco meat takes easy to a new level.  Since I freeze most of my ground beef, I usually have to thaw out meat before cooking tacos. With this recipe, I just throw everything in the crock pot (yes, even frozen meat), and you’re done! You can also prep your veggies and other toppings in the morning if you know you’ll be short on time!

18. Crockpot Honey Garlic Meatballs

It seems like you can cook just about anything in a slow cooker and meatloaf is no exception!  The meatloaf turns out extremely tender and full of flavor after cooking with the sauce for hours. If you’re feeling fancy, you can even mix in bacon or peppers.  Add your favorite side like mashed potatoes or macaroni and cheese and your family is in for a treat.

20. Crockpot Frito Chili Pie

Even the pickiest of eaters will fall in love with this Frito pie.  With meat, beans, and Fritos, what’s not to love? Although if you ask me, I think that toppings are what make this dish. Add cheese, sour cream, jalapeno, or even guacamole! The options are endless.

21. Crockpot Enchiladas

I will eat a flavorful enchilada any day of the week. With this crock pot enchilada recipe, I’ll definitely be making them more often! First, you roll your meat mixture in your tortilla that’s been dipped in enchilada sauce. Place them seam side down in your slow cooker and let it go for hours.  The minute you step through the door you’ll be hit with the amazing aroma!

22. Crockpot Cheeseburger Macaroni Casserole

There’s something relaxing about knowing dinner will be ready by the time you get home. And with this cheeseburger casserole, you’ll certainly have something to look forward to! This dish gets its flavor from butter, paprika, and garlic powder while the cream cheese and shredded cheese make it so creamy. No one will know how easy it was to make!

23. Homemade Meatball Subs

Give your family (or just yourself) a real treat with these homemade meatball subs in the crock pot.  The homemade meatballs are the star of this dish so don’t try to get away with frozen. 24. Crockpot Hamburger Helper

I grew up eating boxed Hamburger Helper, but now cook most of my food from scratch. This Crockpot hamburger helper is the perfect way to meld those two worlds. My favorite part about this recipe is that it’s easier than a boxed meal! Just put everything in the slow cooker and leave it all day. Stir in the pasta about 15 minutes before cooking.  You’ll never eat hamburger helper from a box again!
