You’ll get to enjoy breakfast and lunch foods, drinks ranging from coffee and orange juice to mimosas and Bloody Marys, and even brunch desserts. Honestly, I could happily write about (and eat) brunch all day long, every day of the week, but for this particular list, I’m focusing on dessert. Whether you enjoy typical breakfast-like desserts, such as coffee cake, cinnamon rolls, and muffins, or more dessert-quality desserts, like cheesecake, brownies, and cookies, this round-up has you covered. Sweet and decadent or light and fruity – I’ve tried to include a little bit of everything to suit everyone’s tastes and ideas of brunch. Hopefully, some of your favorites made the list!
1. Coffee Cake
I’m a huge fan of Bisquick because it just makes cooking, particularly baking, so much easier. With Bisquick, milk, brown and white sugar, eggs, butter, and cinnamon, you can whip up this yummy coffee cake with the scrumptious crumble topping in only 35 minutes. It’s a spicy treat that pairs perfectly with both your coffee and your mimosa.
2. Cinnamon Rolls
Believe it or not, Bisquick even makes cinnamon rolls easier! It gives them lovely crispy edges and soft, gooey middles, and that’s before you’ll even add the glaze. Once you do, these become incredibly addictive. That glaze is like warm, melted, sugary heaven on your tongue.
3. Orange Rolls
If cinnamon rolls aren’t what you’re craving, try these phenomenal orange rolls instead. They’ll take longer to make because you’re not using Bisquick this time. But they’re so unbelievably good. You honestly won’t care how long it takes to make them. (And most of the time is idle rise time anyway.) They’re warm, ooey-gooey, and pack a ton of orange flavor. There’s nothing about them not to love.
4. Apple Dumplings
If you’re looking for a brunch dessert that’s full of apple flavor and perfect for fall, these apple dumplings are ideal. They take a bit of time to cook, but the prep time isn’t super long, and you’ll only need seven ingredients to make them. The Granny Smith apples add the perfect amount of sweet tartness, and the crescent rolls are flaky, buttery, and unbelievably tender. The Mountain Dew adds another kick of tanginess, and the brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla round out the dumplings to make them a sweet fall treat that you just can’t beat.
5. Banana Bread
This recipe is for anyone who loves banana bread but wishes it was just a little less dry. It has the same nutty vanilla and banana flavor you love, but it’s also much softer and moister (thanks to the lemon juice and sour cream). The walnuts add the perfect amount of crunch to the overall recipe, as well.
6. Nutella French Toast Roll-Ups
If the name of this snack had you picturing Fruit Roll-Ups, your mind took you in the wrong direction. These are more like churros. They have crunchy, cinnamon-and-sugar-covered outsides and warm, soft Nutella fillings. They’re a little hard to describe, but if French toast and a Nutella-filled churro could mix, this would be the result.
7. Cheesecake
What could be better than a cool, decadent cheesecake? How about a cool, decadent, no-bake cheesecake that you can make with only seven ingredients in 10 minutes? Yeah, that sounds awesome to me, too. So break out the graham cracker crust, cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, vanilla extract, non-dairy whipped topping, and your favorite pie filling. And remember, it needs to chill for at least 4 hours before serving it, so be sure to plan your time accordingly.
8. Carrot Cake
If you’re looking for a cake that’s moist, fluffy, and sweet but not overly sweet, you’ll appreciate this recipe. It takes about 50 minutes to make, but the process is unbelievably simple. Plus, other than shredded carrots, you probably already have everything else you need to make it. As long as you have common baking ingredients like flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, brown sugar, vegetable oil, and eggs, you can prepare this with no trouble at all.
9. Cheesecake Brownies
Cheesecake brownies are the ideal dessert option when you can’t decide between brownies and cheesecake. (And seriously, whoever wants to choose?!) This way, you can have both in one rich, delicious, cream-cheese-and-chocolatey package. Best of all, you can make them in 35 minutes with only four ingredients.
10. Chocolate Chip Muffins
You could make any muffins for brunch, but chocolate chip muffins seem to be the biggest hit for me, so that’s the recipe I decided to share. As with many of my desserts, I start with Bisquick. I also mix over-ripe bananas into the mix because when it comes to flavor combos, it’s hard to beat banana and chocolate. These are fluffy, sweet, and insanely moist. If you’re a muffin fan, you’ll love them.
11. Donuts
I call these donuts because that’s how they taste. They’re deep-fried balls of golden-brown deliciousness topped with cinnamon and sugar. However, in appearance, they look more like donut holes. Although, I suppose if you wanted to take the time to shape them differently, you could make them look like actual donuts.
12. Lemon Bars
These probably look unlike any lemon bars you’ve ever seen. That’s because they’re gluten-free and vegan-friendly, and that changes their appearance somewhat. However, these are still packed with the same tart and zesty flavor you’re used to enjoying in “regular” lemon bars. The texture is similar, too, though these might be just a bit more crumbly.
13. Strawberry Shortcake
Making strawberry shortcake has never been simpler thanks to – you guessed it! – Bisquick. These are less like proper cakes and more like single-serve strawberry shortcake biscuits. They’re every bit as delicious as the cakes, though. Plus, making them this way is faster and requires far fewer ingredients than going the 100% homemade route.
14. Mini-Fruit Tarts
These mini fruit tarts are gluten-free, dairy-free, and 100% vegan-friendly, and despite not having any tasty ingredients like eggs, milk, or flour, they’re incredible. They’re rich, fruity, and have delightfully crunchy crusts. Whether you’re vegan or not, you’ll love these yummy treats.
15. Chocolate Chip Cookies
These copycat Subway cookies are so soft and tender that they’ll fall apart in your hands if you aren’t careful. And they almost literally melt the moment they hit your tongue. They’re rich, chocolatey, and so fantastic. Plus, you can make them in just half an hour.
16. Heath Bar Cookies
These are similar to the copycat Subway chocolate chip cookies (huge, soft, and melt-in-your-mouth good), but they have crushed Heath bars in them instead of chocolate chips. The buttery cookie, rich toffee chunks, and delicious chocolate are a superb combination that you won’t want to miss.
17. Pancake Skewers
Pancakes are a brunch staple, but that doesn’t mean they have to be boring. If you want to liven up your table, try pancake skewers instead. Make your pancakes smaller and fatter than usual. Then assemble them on skewers with your favorite berries, banana slices, and syrup for dipping.
18. Fruit Salad
You can whip up this light, refreshing fruit salad in just 10 minutes or less. All you’ll need is plenty of chopped fruit (pineapples, mandarin oranges, strawberries, kiwis, bananas, etc.) and the secret ingredient – peach pie filling. The pie filling makes the salad sweeter and a bit heartier, as well. It takes it to a whole new level.
19. Punch Bowl Cake
Punch bowl cake is one of the easiest, quickest desserts you can make. You’ll have to bake a cake layer using a yellow boxed cake mix and whip up some vanilla pudding. However, other than that, everything else is just a matter of assembling. The result is a gorgeous, multi-layered bowl of sweet, fruity yumminess. It has a tropical taste and is mostly smooth, though there are some chopped walnuts for added crunch.
20. Chocolate-Covered Strawberries
I don’t care what anyone says. There’s never a bad occasion for chocolate-covered strawberries. And despite their delicious decadence, they’re effortless to make. All you’ll need is a bowl of melted chocolate baking chips and fresh, clean strawberries. Dip them in the chocolate and give them 15 minutes to set. (You can also decorate them with white chocolate or caramel drizzles, edible glitter, nuts, or other extras if you like.)
21. Pineapple Angel Food Cake
Eating this light, fluffy, insanely moist cake is like eating a tropical-flavored cloud. It’s tasty and an excellent sensory experience when it hits your mouth. Best of all, you can make it with only three ingredients – angel food cake mix, crushed pineapples, and whipped cream.
22. Strawberry Shortcake Truffles
Made with a base of Golden Oreos, cream cheese, crushed strawberries, vanilla, and salt and then dipped in melted white chocolate, these truffles are so good. They’re easy to make, too. The thing I love best about them, though, is how pretty they are. They look like high-quality confections you’d pay a ton for at a bakery. They also smell amazing.
23. Lemon Cake
This tart and tangy lemon cake is a lovely addition to any table. It only takes about 10 minutes to prepare, but the cooking time is quite a bit longer. Even so, one look at the gorgeous, glazed cake with the bright lemon zest on top, and you’ll know your time was well-spent. That becomes especially true once you taste it. Click on a star to rate it!
