Ground beef is full of protein that gratifies your hunger. It’s so filling that it’s one of the highest ranking-proteins on the satiety index. That means you can throw together a beefy meal and not feel the need to reach for the bread. Although, if you do, you can use a gluten-free substitute and it’s a win-win. Whether you’re thinking of meatballs for dinner or have burgers on the brain, there’s a gluten-free beef recipe waiting for you.
1. Gluten-Free Ground Beef and Broccoli
Simplicity meets deliciousness in this 25-minute one-skillet dinner. Oyster sauce lends a nice umami flavor as white wine tenderizes the meat with a complimentary acidic taste. Add in some garlic paste and ginger for an aromatic kick and dinner is ready in no time.
2. One-Skillet Gluten-Free Hamburger Helper
Hamburger Helper is a nostalgic dish that instantly speaks to my comfort food cravings. Although, it’s not exactly the healthiest of dishes. That’s why I’m all about this grown-up version. Quality grass-fed beef simmers with gluten-free pasta, bone broth, and tomato sauce until the liquid is absorbed. It’s practically as effortless as the boxed stuff and is so much better for your health.
3. Gluten-Free Hamburger Casserole
I often lean on my casserole dish throughout the week, so I have a pocketful of all the best casserole recipes. I like to bust this one out when I get a jonesing for burgers but want a home-style dinner. This casserole is overflowing with juicy ground beef and melty cheddar cheese. It’s even a little bit creamy thanks to the gluten-free cream of mushroom soup.
4. Gluten-Free Ground Beef Stroganoff
Stroganoff is a Russian dish that is nothing short of comforting. It traditionally features beef in a creamy sauce over a bed of noodles. However, I assure you, this one is gluten-free. You’ll cook browned beef with bone broth and gluten-free fusilli. For the sauce, you’ll add mushrooms and sour cream. You can also use another pasta shape. Just be sure to check that it’s gluten-free.
5. Gluten-Free Meatloaf
Grandma’s secret meatloaf recipe may not be gluten-free, but this one sure is! The trick is to use gluten-free breadcrumbs for the binding. You can also use a nut milk substitute if you want to make this meatloaf dairy-free. What I don’t recommend changing, however, is the spot-on seasoning. The dried herbs and spices in this meatloaf are what take this dish from good to grand.
6. Gluten-Free Meatballs
You can add these meatballs to a plate of gluten-free pasta or on a gluten-free roll for a meatball sub. However, I like these all on their own. They’re a savory mixture of ground beef, Italian seasoning, and a hint of nutmeg. Like the meatloaf, you’ll want to use gluten-free breadcrumbs for the binding. You can form these by hand to give them some more character. Or, you can use an ice cream scooper if you desire a more uniform shape.
7. Gluten-Free Korean Beef Bowl
Korean beef bowls are always a gratifying meal! There’s no dairy, gluten, or refined sugar in this dish. What you will find, however, is a sweet and tangy umami stir-fry. Lean ground beef is best as it cuts out some of the fat. Also, be sure to use tamari instead of soy sauce because it has a richer flavor. Once the stir-fry is ready, you can add it to a bed of rice. Rice is naturally gluten-free and makes the dish even more filling.
8. Gluten-Free American Goulash
A hearty bowl of goulash is a top-notch choice for taking off the winter chill. It uses staples like canned tomatoes and beef broth, so you most likely won’t have to take a trip to the store. It also uses gluten-free elbow pasta, which is the American twist on this Hungarian dish. When choosing a Worcestershire sauce, double check the label. Not all brands are gluten-free.
9. Crockpot Gluten-Free Chili
Another terrific recipe to fight off the cold is a cozy bowl of Crockpot chili. Aside from the ground beef, this recipe uses nothing but pantry staples too. Ground beef and red kidney beans make up the hearty base. Chili, garlic, paprika, BBQ sauce, and more add in layers upon layers of flavor.
10. Gluten-Free Shepherd’s Pie
Dinner parties and gluten-free go hand in hand thanks to this recipe. The filling is a tantalizing mixture of perfectly seasoned lean ground beef, carrots, and onions. The topping, however, is the best part! It’s a fluffy layer of mashed potatoes, cheddar cheese, and gravy. If you’re Whole30 or paleo, there are even recommended substitutions for you.
11. Gluten-Free Bacon Cheeseburger Pasta
This one is similar to the Hamburger Helper recipe, except it’s far more cheesy. It’s got a heavy amount of mozzarella and cheddar cheese. There’s even a handful of bacon strips added in to make the flavors mimic a scrumptious bacon cheeseburger. This is a prime dish for when you want a juicy burger, but can’t have the gluten.
12. Gluten-Free Cheeseburger Soup
I admit this soup sounds a bit weird at first. But seriously, you’ll want to give this a try. Butter, milk, and sour cream give this soup a creamy base. Meanwhile, the carrots and spinach add a dose of vitamins. The best part of all is the combination of ground beef and thick chunks of potatoes.
13. World’s Best Gluten-Free Lasagna
I always take a “world’s best” recipe with a grain of salt. However, I think this one can easily give any lasagna a run for its money. The main three layers consist of a rich meaty sauce, gluten-free oven-ready lasagna noodles, and a creamy ricotta cheese mixture. Did I also mention the meaty sauce is a double whammy of ground beef and Italian turkey sausage? Meat and cheese lovers will go crazy for this dish!
14. Gluten-Free Beef Burritos
I can’t tell you how ecstatic I am about these gluten-free burritos! After a long day of physical activity, all I want is a juicy burrito, and this one hits the spot. Keto tortillas replace the standard flour tortillas to make them gluten-free. And the filling? It has my mouth watering just thinking about it. To give you a little taste, there’s some ground beef, bacon, guacamole, cheese, cauliflower rice, and more inside.
15. Gluten-Free Flavor Bomb Burgers
There really is no replacement for a burger and a beer. So when you want both, have them with this gluten-free recipe. Soy sauce and Worcestershire are the tickets to making these gluten-free beef patties bombalicious! Pair them with a gluten-free bun and gluten-free beer of choice, then chow down!
16. Gluten-Free Loaded Nachos
Gluten-free nachos are awesome for game days and easy peasy sheet-pan dinner nights. Layer corn tortilla chips on a baking pan, then top with all your favorite fixings. Obviously, ground beef and cheese are a must. I also like to add some avocado slices, pico de gallo, and red onion. If you’re into spice, fresh jalapenos are the perfect touch.
17. Mexican Shells with Ground Beef
This fusion of Mexican and Italian food is too good for words, and I can’t believe it’s gluten-free. Jumbo gluten-free pasta shells are overflowing with ground beef, shredded cheese, and tomatoes. They’re even smothered in enchilada sauce!
18. Skillet Tater Tot Casserole
While potatoes may have carbs, did you know they’re gluten-free? So you know what that means — it’s tater tot casserole time! Tater tot casserole is a fun dish kids and adults both love. It’s full of umami flavors from the soy sauce and mushrooms, while the browned beef makes it even more satiating.
19. Cowboy Hamburger Soup
If you prefer stews to creamy soups, give this recipe a whirl. It’s a hearty mix of meat, potatoes, and a rich tomato broth. There’s no soy, dairy, or gluten in this soup, making it better for a range of diets. This is great news because this hefty soup could serve an army with all the servings you’ll get from a single batch.
20. Gluten-Free Skillet Beef Enchiladas
There is a certain someone in my household that always wants beef enchiladas for dinner. While we can’t have them every night, I certainly feel like I could with this recipe. This one-skillet 30-minute meal is rich in ground beef and cheese, so there’s a ton of protein. For more nutrients, you can add in veggies like onions and bell peppers. Click on a star to rate it!
