Seriously. Oat milk has taken over the milk world, and for good reason!  Oat milk is a fantastic alternative to dairy milk and nut milk. It might actually be the most allergy-friendly of the milk options.  But I think it feels the most like dairy. Oat milk is super creamy and thick. And it froths really well (you can’t have a cappuccino without froth).  Did I mention that oat milk is extremely versatile? I have 17 delicious recipes with oat milk to prove it.

1. Dairy-Free Chocolate Pudding Made with Oat Milk

In just 15 minutes, you can make this delicious dessert that’s healthy enough for breakfast. Life is about balance after all.  This is a super easy, stovetop pudding that’s made in one pot. So, you really can’t get much better than that! Or maybe you can because this pudding is delicious, too.  It’s rich and chocolatey, with just a hint of espresso. Serve it at any temperature and enjoy!

2. Oat Milk Ice Cream

I know, I know, what’s ice cream without the cream? Well, in this case, it’s an absolutely delicious oat milk ice cream.  This ice cream is seriously silky and indulgent but there’s no actual cream involved. Instead, its fabulous texture comes from a mix of cashews and oat milk.  Maple syrup adds sweetness and vanilla extract adds flavor. Mix in your favorite nuts, seeds, dried fruits, or chocolate to finish it off. It’s delicious!

3. French Toast

I absolutely love having French toast for breakfast or lunch or dinner. I love it best when the outside is crispy and caramelized and the inside is fluffy.  There are a few secrets to good French toast. First, you need good bread. Brioche is best, but any more fancy bread will do!  Second, you make a custard-like batter to dip the bread into. To get that custard, you need eggs and good milk. If you can’t have dairy milk, oat milk is the way to go.  Its thick, creamy texture really makes the batter amazing. And amazing batter equals delicious French toast. Serve it with berries and cream!

4. Cocoa Oat Milk

Calling all chocolate milk lovers! This one’s for you. This homemade cocoa oat milk is a guilt-free sweet treat.  It’s made with whole ingredients and natural sweeteners. So, while every sip tastes like a dessert, it has some solid nutrition.  It’s full of fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Plus, this drink can help maintain blood sugar and reduce inflammation.  Although it tastes like chocolate, it’s almost like medicine.

5. Oat Milk Rice Pudding Brûlée

This delectable creation combines two of my favorite desserts: créme brûlée and rice pudding. So, this recipe makes me really excited because it’s superb.  This pudding is luscious. It’s super creamy and wonderfully textured. It’s sweet, with notes of cinnamon and nutmeg. Finally, it’s topped with a perfect brûléed sugar crust.  It’s delicious! It also happens to be totally vegan, so everyone can enjoy it!

6. Homemade Dairy-Free Crepes

Say bonjour to these absolutely scrumptious dairy-free crepes! I know that saying “dairy-free” in a sentence about French food is blasphemous. But just trust me.  These crepes are delicious! Plus, they’re easy to make, so that makes them even better.  Each crepe is soft and flavorful, with just a touch of crispiness from the pan. Serve them with berries, coconut cream, and dark chocolate shavings. Thank me later.

7. Oat Milk Chia Seed Pudding

If you’re looking for a sweet treat that’s actually good for you, look no further. I present, oat milk chia seed pudding! It’s free of dairy and it’s delicious, textured, and healthy.  You’ll love it!

8. Tangzhong Bread (Dairy-Free)

This traditional Chinese bread will make you feel like you’re floating on air. It’s soft, fluffy, and feather-light. So, if you want to impress your guests with a delicious bake, try this recipe. Tangzhong is an interesting baking method that yields a super light texture in your bread. Basically, it’s like making papier-mâché. You cook flour with liquid on your stovetop.  And like papier-mâché, it makes a paste that binds all the ingredients together. The heat combined with fatty ingredients inhibits gluten development.

9. Spinach Oat Milk Green Smoothie

Give your morning a superpowered boost with this spinach oat milk green smoothie. It’s a mean, green, bad-day-fighting machine.  Loaded with spinach, banana, orange, and oat milk, this smoothie is delicious and nutritious. You can’t go wrong drinking one of these every day.

10. Oat Milk Pancakes

I’ve never made pancakes that are as easy and delicious as these! Like any good pancake, these are soft and fluffy. So, you know they’re so good.  They’re lightly sweet and have a wonderful earthy flavor.

11. Oat Milk Honey Latte

Rise and shine with this fabulous honey latte. It’s utterly comforting and wholly delicious. Every sip is like heaven in a mug.  And no, I’m not exaggerating. But I also just really love honey lattes.

12. Homemade Waffles

“…And in the morning, I’m making waffles!” If you love Shrek, this quote probably runs through your head anytime you see waffles. Or is that just me? Regardless, waffles are classic breakfast cuisine, and this recipe is one of my favorites. Even though they’re dairy-free, they sacrifice none of the waffle goodness you know and love.  They are fluffy and crispy in all the right ways. They’re sweet, tasty, and simply divine.

13. Oat Milk Smoothie

The last smoothie on the list will wake up your cells. This smoothie will keep them running. Every sip features banana, oat milk, and peanut butter (a classic flavor combo).  It’s loaded with natural sugars to give you energy. Plus it has fiber, carbs, and protein to sustain it. Did I mention that it’s extremely yummy?

14. Oat Milk Latte

Think back to the beginning of this article. There, I mentioned that oat milk froths well. Well, now it is oat milk’s time to shine!  For me, the foam is the best part of the latte. The espresso is pretty great, too. But that soft, bubbly, flavorful milk foam is the best part. And this latte delivers!

15. 10-Minute Easy Vegan Cheese Sauce

Generally, I don’t like cheese substitutes. I’m blessed with the ability to enjoy cheese without any ill effects (or moral dilemmas). However, I know not everyone is like me.  And I love to make sure my guests feel their best. That’s where good vegan substitutes come in. And let me tell ya, this vegan cheese sauce is to die for. It’s so creamy, so savory, and so flavorful. Plus, it’s allergy-friendly! You’ll love this, even if you’re not vegan.

16. Vegan Fettuccine Alfredo (No Cashews)

No one will be able to tell that this fettuccine Alfredo is dairy-free. The sauce is ridiculously creamy, fantastically flavorful, and tastes like classic Alfredo.  It’s so yummy, I’ll eat it straight from the pan with only a spoon.

17. The Best Vegan Mashed Potatoes

Holiday cookin’ calls for mashed potatoes. And generally, mashed potatoes call for a lot of dairy. This vegan recipe is game-changing. Using oat milk, vegan mayo, and nutritional yeast yields some amazing mashed potatoes.  They’re creamy, buttery, and cheesy, and with one bite, you’ll be sold. Plus, you won’t get that heavy “I just ate too many mashed potatoes” feeling.  Click on a star to rate it!
