Whether you want to make dessert, breakfast, or dinner, you can do it with Cheerios recipes. This list has a little bit of everything. Fortunately, Cheerios fall right into that perfect middle ground. They’re sweet enough for sweet recipes but not too sweet. This allows you to use them in savory dishes, as well. So, do you want churro Cheerios or Cheerios treats? How about meatballs or pork chops? Either way, check out these recipes!
1. Peanut Butter Cheerio Bars
We all know how good peanut butter and chocolate taste together, right? Now, imagine adding Cheerios for crunch and marshmallows for gooeyness. That’s what you’ll get with these delicious, five-ingredient bars. They’re quick and easy to make (just 15 minutes) and taste incredible. Both kids and adults will love them.
2. Churro Cheerios
Move over Cinnamon Toast Crunch, there’s a new sheriff in town, and his name is Churro Cheerios! Are you a fan of all things cinnamon? If so, you need to get your hands on these cereal treats, stat. They’re crunchy, flavorful, and easy to make. Plus, like churros, these Cheerios are coated in a sweet, sticky cinnamon-sugar glaze. They’ll have your tastebuds singing with joy.
3. Cheerio Bars
You can’t beat Cheerio bars for a quick, no-bake snack. You can actually make them with as few as three ingredients. You need butter, Cheerios, and marshmallows. Then, you make them just like you would Rice Krispies treats. They’re crispy, gooey, stretchy, and fun. If you want, you can make them a bit more decadent. Follow the instructions in the recipe to coat them in chocolate and M&Ms.
4. Cheerio Treats
These Cheerio treats are much like the Cheerio bars above. The only difference is that these incorporate peanut butter into the mix. It makes them richer and more filling. If you love peanut butter, you’re sure to appreciate them.
5. Cheerios Breakfast Cookies
These yummy cookies are tender and chewy. However, the Cheerios give them a bit of added crunch in every bite. They’re a pretty nutritious way to start the day. They’re packed with things that are good for you. There’s peanut butter, raisins, oats, Cheerios, and more. They aren’t as healthy as, say, an egg-white omelet. But if you’re a fan of sweet treats for breakfast, these are a great option.
6. Honey Nut Cheerios Cookies
These crumbly cookies are nutty, honeyed, and full of crunchy Cheerios. They have an interesting flavor. It combines sugar cookies, oatmeal cookies, and peanut butter cookies. Actually, they’re hard to describe if you’ve never had them. But I haven’t met a cookie aficionado yet who didn’t love them.
7. Honey Nut Cheerio Cupcakes
I would never have thought to combine Cheerios and cupcakes. Luckily, I stumbled across this recipe, so I didn’t have to! These light, moist cupcakes have a sweet honey taste in every bite. They’re rich, full of flavor, and impossible not to love. They look lovely, too. The thick buttercream frosting is the perfect complement to each golden cake.
8. Cheerio Cake
This might look like the craziest cake you’ve ever seen. Of course, that’s also what makes it so much fun! It has the same great, gooey texture as a Rice Krispies treat. It tastes like one, too, only with Cheerios instead. The trick is shaping it to look more like a cake than a treat. It’s pretty easy with the right pan. And you’ll need just four ingredients to make it. (Three if you leave out the M&Ms!)
9. Honey Nut Cheerio Pancakes
Don’t worry. Adding Honey Nut Cheerios and oats to your pancakes won’t make them lumpy or crunchy. They’ll be just as thick, sweet, and fluffy as ever. However, that added dash of honey in each one is just what pancakes need. These are so delicious that you won’t even need syrup for them. (Of course, you can add it anyway!) Seriously, though, if you need to up your pancake game, this recipe can do it.
10. Cheerio Applesauce Muffins
These dense, tender muffins are the ideal breakfast treat. They have a wonderful texture and an even better taste. Additionally, they’re moist and cinnamon-flavored with just enough Cheerio taste to notice. Plus, if you add whole Cheerios like the picture, they look great, too.
11. Turkey Meatballs with Mustard and Cheerios
Now, let’s turn our attention to something a bit more savory. Did you know that crushed Cheerios make an excellent breadcrumb alternative? They do! Mix them with green onions, garlic, and a few other things for tasty turkey meatballs. You’ll need fewer than 10 ingredients and just 35 minutes to make them. They’re juicy, a little spicy, and perfect as appetizers. Just be sure to double the recipe because everyone will want seconds.
12. Baked Chicken Fingers With Cheerios
Crushed Cheerios also taste great on chicken fingers as a batter. These baked chicken fingers are tender, flavorful, and perfectly breaded. Kids will love them, and so will you! To be coated in Cheerios, they’re surprisingly scrumptious.
13. Healthy Cheerios Chicken Parmigiana
Want something a bit more elegant? Skip the chicken fingers and opt for chicken parmigiana instead. You bread the chicken with Cheerios, Italian seasoning, and parmesan. Add some garlic, salt, pepper, and onion powder, and you’re all set. After breading and baking it, you cover it in marinara, green onions, and cheese. Enjoy it as it is, or serve it on a bed of noodles. Either way, it will not disappoint anyone who tries it.
14. Raspberry Cream Yogurt Parfaits
These simple, four-ingredient parfaits require no cooking and are ready in 10 minutes. You layer Honey Nut Cheerios, raspberries, yogurt, and whipped topping. It’s sweet, fruity, crunchy, and just a bit tart. If you want to start your day off right, this parfait can help you do that.
15. Sweet and Spicy Hot Buttered Cheerios Snack Mix
Everyone loves Chex mix, right? But wait until you try these hot buttered Cheerios. You’ll never want plain old Chex mix again. These sweet-n-salty snacks are unbelievably delectable and borderline addictive. It takes just 20 minutes to make, and the ingredients and hands-on work are minimal. Even so, this recipe is one of my favorites on the list. You won’t believe how good it is until you try it for the first time.
16. Honey Nut Cheerios Breaded Pork Chops
Poultry isn’t the only meat that tastes great with Cheerio breading. These thick, juicy pork chops are just as phenomenal. The breading on them is perfect, a gorgeous golden brown. Plus, the pork chops themselves are incredibly yummy. Serve them alongside couscous, a light pasta dish, or fresh garden veggies. Whatever the sides, the chops are sure to be a hit.
17. Cheerios First Birthday Smash Cake
This simple smash cake is 100% baby-safe (and 110% baby-approved). It’s a fluffy, moist, not-too-sugary cake. And your toddler will love smashing it to bits. The best part is that it’s easy to make, inexpensive, and tasty. Who knows? You might even get to try a little. You know, if it doesn’t all end up on tiny hands, caked in hair, or on the floor!
