The light herby flavor plays so well in these classic recipes, and they’re guaranteed to impress. Rosemary is in a league of its own in terms of its fantastic taste and fragrance. It’s piney, minty, sagey, and citrusy. Plus, that green sprig in a colorful cocktail is pure Insta-gold. Many of these cocktails are hard to describe because the rosemary brings out different notes in all of them. Still, they’re delicious and easy to make. So, if you like fresh and fragrant drinks, you’ll appreciate these rosemary cocktails!
1. Lemon Rosemary Gin Fizz
This simple, four-ingredient drink takes just 5 minutes to whip up. It combines gin, lemon juice, club soda, and rosemary. It’s bright, refreshing, and totally zingy. In some ways, it’s almost medicinal. However, don’t let that stop you from trying it. It isn’t bitter, it’s just… different. If you’re a fan of lemon and like bubbly drinks, you’ll likely enjoy it. Still, it’s the kind of drink you savor, so don’t knock it back all at once. Take the time to appreciate all the subtle notes and complex flavors.
2. Rosemary Greyhound Cocktail
I love everything about this pretty pink drink. It’s sweet and woodsy, with plenty of tart freshness from the grapefruit. It’s crisp, biting, and sure to put a little pep in your step. Plus, adding a sprig of rosemary for a garnish is inspired. Every sip is a fragrant masterpiece. And you have a built-in stirrer to keep your drink thoroughly mixed. If you’re a fan of garden brunches, add this one to your menu. Few drinks are more appropriate for brunch.
3. Rosemary’s Pear – A Gin Cocktail
Here’s another incredible drink unlike any you’ve ever tried. Featuring the bold flavors of pear nectar and ginger beer, it’s unbelievably tart but has rich, wonderfully spiced undertones. You’ll need four ingredients and 3 minutes to make it. And it’s sure to be a new favorite for the holiday season. Don’t forget to add the rosemary garnish, though! It brings lovely flavor and fragrance, along with plenty of festive fun.
4. Blood Orange and Rosemary Cocktail
This gorgeous drink tastes fantastic as a cocktail or a mocktail. You’ll love its ruby red color and its sweet, citrusy taste. Depending on where you live, blood oranges might be hard to find. With that in mind, you can make these with navel oranges instead. You just won’t get the vibrant red color. Navel oranges will also subtly change the taste. Therefore, I highly recommend using blood oranges if you can find them. The result is a sweet, herby, bubbly cocktail that smells as amazing as it tastes.
5. Bourbon Lemon Rosemary Cocktail
Even though this cocktail only has four ingredients, it has a ton of flavor. It’s tart and bright with plenty of clean and herby freshness that’s hard not to love. Keep in mind that this recipe is for four servings. So, if you want to make just one, you’ll need to adjust a few things. Of course, it’s so good you might want all four for yourself! You’ll get no judgment from me – it certainly tastes good enough.
6. The Mistletoe Kiss Cocktail
The piney scent and flavor of rosemary make it an excellent addition to holiday drinks. This Mistletoe Kiss cocktail is the perfect example of why. It’s an easy-to-make drink that combines vodka, lemon juice, club soda, and rosemary. Add a handful of fresh raspberries to seal the deal. It’s an entirely lovely, spectacularly festive drink. And you can easily adjust the recipe for a small or large gathering. Either way, your guests are sure to love it.
7. Christmas Sangria
This Christmas sangria also features cranberries and rosemary. In fact, aside from the golden tint, it looks very similar to the Mistletoe Kiss. Its taste, though, is totally different. This drink is sweet and apple-y, not tart and lemony. So enjoy this for Christmas or the fall holidays, and be prepared to make extra. After all, apple cider tastes great any time the weather gets cold.
8. Christmas Punch
It’s hard to beat a fruity, sweetly tart punch recipe, no matter the occasion. This one features a lovely pinkish-red color and a fantastic taste. You’ll combine oranges, cranberries, and pomegranate for a myriad of fruity flavors. And there’s lots of bubbles and zest to tickle your tongue. This one is a fantastic option because it’s so easy to make. It takes just 5 minutes to whip up an entire batch. Furthermore, if you want a non-alcoholic version, just leave out the rum. It’s also an excellent choice if you don’t like to taste the alcohol in your punch. The rum blends right in with all the other flavors. Until it hits you, you’ll never even know it’s there.
9. Pineapple Rosemary Crush Cocktails
Are you looking for something a little lighter? These pineapple rosemary crush cocktails are just the thing. There’s no hard liquor in them, just a bottle of sparkling wine. Add some ginger ale, pineapple chunks, ice, and rosemary, and you’re all set. These tropical drinks are light, fruity, and zesty. However, the rosemary keeps them from being too sweet. They’re the perfect option for hot summer days by the pool. Crisp and refreshing is everything you’d want from a bright summer drink.
10. Rosemary Tom Collins
Let’s end this list with one of my favorite cocktails. You’ll take the classic Tom Collins and add rosemary simple syrup and a sprig of rosemary. It doesn’t change the flavor too much, but it adds an herby, aromatic depth. Personally, I like to keep this drink a bit dry. However, you can add more simple syrup to sweeten it if you prefer. I stick to the 1/2 ounce, though. Remember, the less simple syrup you add, the crisper, bubblier, and more refreshing the drink will be. You can always muddle more rosemary sprigs for the extra rosemary flavor.
