Oftentimes, you’ll find milk or bread when you’re trying to find the right loaf that plant-based dieters can eat. These recipes ensure that no vegan is left behind in the bread department. Below, you’ll find 10 of my favorite vegan bread recipes that you’ll want to make again and again.  The recipes range from focaccia to banana bread, so find one you love and keep in your back pocket. If your love language is carbs, then read on.

1. Easy Crusty Vegan Bread

Crusty bread has a special place in my heart. While there is a time for soft bread, crusty bread is my favorite to dip into sauces or olive oil. If you’re simplistic at heart, this recipe will leave an impression on you. It requires only three ingredients: flour, water, and yeast, that’s it! Best of all, there’s no kneading required. This vegan bread recipe might just make you abandon store-bought bread all together.

2. Vegan Banana Bread 

If I had to live off of one bread alone for the rest of my life, it would have to be banana bread. Before you call me crazy, allow me to explain. Each bite is the perfect amount of sweetness without overpowering your palate with sugar.  It’s versatile: it can be made into a delicious French toast or just served with some margarine for a tasty treat. Plus, it’s so easy to be made vegan! This banana bread uses bananas as a binding component. You won’t even need to add anything to make it vegan.

Who knew you could have a heavenly brioche without any eggs, milk, or cheese? This recipe makes that dream a reality by creating a delicacy that will elevate your morning meals to a whole new level. It uses vegan butter in lieu of regular butter to create a golden finish on this loaf.

Focaccia is one of those great recipes that’s accidentally vegan, meaning it’s plant-based without trying to be. It’s extremely easy to make. There’s no kneading and requires only six ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry. Wow your guests during your next dinner party. Whip up a sheet of this mouth-watering focaccia to really knock it out of the park.

5. Vegan Hokkaido Milk Bread

If you haven’t tried Hokkaido bread, this is your sign to give this recipe a try. It’s the Asian version of brioche, but it’s even softer if you can believe it. The bread has a cloud-like texture that can be pulled apart into flakey layers. It might be hard to make a bread that has milk in the name vegan, this recipe achieves this impossible task by using soy milk. No Indian dinner is complete without naan bread. It’s one of my favorite parts whenever I get my usual daal-combo carryout. This naan recipe uses seven ingredients to create thin, crispy, slices of buttery heaven. To get the perfect savory flavor on these naan, this recipe uses garlic, vegan butter, and olive oil. Each bite will leave you wanting more. I know I can’t wait to dip these bad boys into a big bowl of butter chicken or curry.  These naan will make the perfect sponge to clean out your bowl at the end of the meal. 

7. Fluffy New York-Style Bagels w/ Vegan Carrot Lox 

This recipe provides an ingenious solution to get your vegan fix of bagels and lox. Not only do these bagels look like the real deal, but every bite makes it taste like it came directly from your favorite deli. If you want to serve up a delightful brunch for some vegan foodies, this would be the recipe to try. You can even prep everything the night before for an easy, relaxed morning. 

8. Quick Ciabatta 

Ciabatta is such a great Italian bread, but isn’t always an easy thing to whip up on a whim. It often takes hours of prep work and baking times to get it just right. That’s why recipes like these are such a godsend. Not only is it vegan, but it’s a very easy rendition of classic ciabatta. The total cooking time rings in at around four hours, but it’s oh-so-worth it. Serve with your favorite pasta dish, or use it for sandwiches. In my opinion, ciabatta shines best when you stick some sliced avocado, tomato, basil, and olive oil inside to create an amazing vegan sandwich. 

9. Vegan Pizza Rolls  

These vegan pizza rolls taste like your favorite New York slice, but with a fluffier crust. Imagine a doughy dinner roll with all your favorite pizza toppings, but make it vegan! This recipe has a lot going on for it in all the best possible ways. It’s a great vegan game day appetizer, and it’s tasty enough to appeal to a wide range of snackers. Feel free to customize the toppings to your liking. I know I’ll be going heavy on the mushrooms and caramelized mushrooms for mine. 

10. No-Knead Sourdough Bread

This artisan-style sourdough bread is brought with rustic texture and flavor. It’s crispy, crusty, and crackly on the outside, yet soft and chewy on the inside. If you’ve never tried your hand at making sourdough before, this is a great starter recipe.
