Is there anything that crescent rolls do wrong, or do they taste delicious no matter what they’re used to make? I’ll be honest; there’s not a single recipe on this list that doesn’t make my mouth water just thinking about it.  Crescent rolls are one of my favorite foods, and when used for desserts, they’re even better.  Whether you want to use them to make apple pie, monkey bread, cinnamon rolls, or even sopapilla cheesecake, this list of the 10 best crescent roll desserts has you covered.

1. Strawberry Cheesecake Crescent Rolls

Strawberry cheesecake isn’t always at the top of my list for favorite desserts. But when I can make it in 25 minutes using a flaky, crescent roll crust, that changes everything.  All you’ll really need to make these are crescent rolls, cream cheese, seedless strawberry jam, and a half-cup of strawberries.  You can also use an egg for egg wash and sprinkle them in sugar, but that’s not entirely necessary. They’re simple to make. You’ll mix up your strawberries, jam, and cream cheese and spread it over the rolls. Then you’ll add your egg wash and sugar if you like.  Bake them for 12 to 15 minutes, and they’re ready to serve!

2. Apple Pie Bites

These six-ingredient apple pie bites take only 30 minutes to make, and they taste like the whole fall season rolled up into miniature dessert bites. The brown sugar, cinnamon, and Granny Smith apples will have your whole house smelling incredible. The flaky, buttery crust and crunchy nuts create an unbeatable texture combination. If you’ve never had these, you’re in for a real treat. They’ll quickly become a new favorite.

3. Apple Dumplings

These are more of my favorite treats. I make them whenever I see a couple of spare cans of crescent rolls in my fridge. You’ll need Granny Smith apples, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, and crescent rolls. You’ll also need a teaspoon of vanilla and a bottle of Mountain Dew. Yes, Mountain Dew. That’s the secret ingredient that makes these dumplings nice and crispy instead of soggy. The vanilla adds an extra hint of sweetness, and the whole thing tastes like homemade apple pie but is much quicker and easier to make. Top it off with some vanilla ice cream for an extra sweet treat.

4. Nutella Crescent Rolls

Needing only three ingredients (four if you want to add pecans), these yummy treats can be done in less than 20 minutes!  To make them, you’ll roll out your crescent rolls and cover them with Nutella. You can add some chopped pecans for an added crunch and even nuttier flavor. Then you’ll roll them up and bake them. Once they’re done, you’ll top them with powdered sugar and serve them while they’re still warm and delightful.

5. Palmiers

I’ve always enjoyed palmiers, but for the longest time, I avoided making them myself because they just seemed like they’d be so much work.  As it turns out, when made with crescent rolls, they take almost no work at all! You can even go the extra mile and make rainbow palmiers and still have them done in no time! Plus, the flakiness of crescent roll dough is perfect for a palmier’s texture.

6. Cinnamon Rolls

These crescent roll cinnamon rolls are another favorite of mine. They taste great for dessert or as sweet breakfast pastries. They take about 10 minutes to throw together and another 20 to bake. The sweet, homemade icing is equally easy to make, and it makes the rolls taste as good as any you’d buy at a bakery.

7. Crescent Roll Monkey Bread

Monkey bread is probably one of the messiest, stickiest desserts you can make, but it tastes so good, no one ever cares about the mess.  This recipe is one of the easiest I’ve ever found for monkey bread. All you’ll need to make it is butter, light brown sugar, water, and crescent rolls. You can also add pecans or walnuts if you want. It takes about half an hour to make, and you’ll know it’s ready when it turns a deep golden brown.

8. Sopapilla Cheesecake

This fun recipe combines two totally different desserts into something that’s surprisingly amazing.  The cake is soft, moist, and fluffy, but the topping is crispy, just like a real sopapilla.  Like most crescent roll desserts, the ingredients list for this one is pretty short. All you’ll need aside from the rolls is cream cheese, vanilla extract, two eggs, cinnamon, sugar, and butter. It takes almost no time to prepare, but it takes about 50 minutes to cook. You’ll also need to give it time to cool down before serving it.  All in all, this is a unique dessert that everyone should try.

9. Crescent Cherry Cheesecake Cobbler

This recipe is specifically for cherry cheesecake cobbler. However, you can adjust the recipe to use your favorite berries, whether that’s strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, or something else. Once you have your pie filling and your crescent rolls, you’ll need to round up some cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and unsalted butter. Then it’s just a matter of layering everything and baking it. Once it’s done, you can’t even tell you made it with crescent rolls. It looks just like an authentic cherry cobbler – the real deal, made from scratch. It’s an excellent dessert for impressing friends and relatives with your culinary skills. (They don’t have to know how easy it was to make!)

10. Cherry Turnovers

These turnovers make great after-dinner desserts, but I frequently serve them for Sunday morning breakfasts and brunches, as well.  You’ll only need six ingredients to make them, and you can have them ready to serve in 20 minutes.  The only difficult thing about these is figuring out what tastes better – the warm cherry filling or the sweet, sticky icing.
