They’re meaty, filling, and 100% kid-approved. Chipolata sausages are usually very thin and often come in more of a “mini” size. That said, they’re jam-packed with tons of flavor and spices.  If you’ve never cooked with them before or are on the hunt for new ideas, there’s a dish or two here for you. And if you can’t find chipolata sausages, you can easily substitute them with your faves!  I can’t wait for you to try these chipolata sausage recipes. Let’s get to it.

10 Easy Recipes With Chipolatas

1. Chipolatas with Baked Beans

This recipe is quick, easy, and great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. You’ll start with chipolata sausages stewed in a flavorful sauce full of cherry tomatoes. Then, add baked beans and spinach for a ton of extra textures and taste.  Serve this with runny eggs for breakfast, on the side of grilled cheese for lunch, or as part of a BBQ feast for dinner. It’s delicious no matter what!

2. Creamy Mushroom Pasta with Chipolata Sausages

If you have a big appetite and love pasta – this dish is for you! And believe it or not, this creamy mushroom pasta can be on the table in just 35 minutes.  The sauce is full of flavor from the garlic and onions. Meanwhile, you’ll love the earthy, meaty mushrooms with the salty sausage. That said, this would be super tasty with roast chicken. Or, it’s hearty enough without any meat at all.

3. Mini Toad-in-the Hole

Toad-in-the-hole is a fun twist on a classic dish. The idea is to make a big Yorkshire pudding and add tasty chipolata sausages to the mix. Bake it in a hot oven, and the Yorkshire bakes around the links until it’s fluffy inside with a crispy edge. Of course, this mini version is smaller than usual – which I love! It’s super kid friendly and ensures the Yorkshires cook all the way through. No soggy bottoms here, thanks! Make sure to serve these right out of the oven with plenty of onion gravy. If you leave them to sit, the Yorkshires will deflate.

4. Irresistibly Sticky Teriyaki Chipolata Bites

This phenomenal appetizer recipe is an easy go-to for any potluck or holiday party. They’re easy to make and require hardly any time at all. Plus, you only need a few ingredients. The sauce is a quick blend of soy sauce, mirin, honey, and sesame seeds. Heat it up, and toss the sausages until they’re coated. Then, roast it all in the oven to make a fantastic, flavorful dish. Just be warned: these sausages might disappear before the party starts.

5. Chipolata Sausages in Tomato, Onion and Spinach Sauce

Packed with the most savory flavors I just can’t get enough of, this is one irresistible dish. Start by cooking the sausages. Then, cook the onions in oil before adding tomatoes and chicken stock. All of these flavors blend together to create a rich and delicious sauce. Add the spinach at the end so that it is perfectly cooked and not too wilted. I like to serve these sausages on a bed of fluffy mashed potatoes. Or, for something more indulgent, try some cheesy polenta.

6. Sticky Chipolatas

As the name suggests, these sticky chipolata sausages are covered in the most delicious sauce. They’re sweet, savory, and a little bit tangy, making them the perfect party food for any occasion.  Featuring cranberry sauce, soy sauce, red wine vinegar, and sweet chili sauce, it’s pretty complex and loaded with umami goodness. This dish has all the right flavor combinations to leave your friends and family smiling and satisfied.

7. Chipolata Sausage Casserole

You know me and those one-pan recipes! And this one is quick, easy, and super tasty! It has a terrific base loaded with garlic, onion, and tomatoes. Plus, the beans add a nice bite and make the meal even more filling.  This dish is wonderfully hearty and tastes incredible. Serve it with whatever you have at home, be it mashed potatoes, bread, rice, or even lentils. This meal is a hit no matter what.

8. Sausages, Peppers, and Onions with Smoky Ketchup

Here’s another one-pan meal that’s easy to prep, cook, and clean up! You can even do some preparation ahead of time for an even easier night.  All you need is an onion, bell peppers, and the sausages of your choice – of course, chipolatas are the best! The smoky ketchup adds even more depth and flavor to this tasty dish. Serve it sandwich style, on top of mashed potatoes, or with rice.

9. Red Potato and Sausage Bake

This type of meal is one of my favorite weeknight go-to’s. It’s simple, full of flavor, and oh-so-satisfying. Roast the potatoes first to ensure they’re almost cooked through. This will ensure all the ingredients finish at the same time.  After about 15 minutes, add sausages, onion, apples, and sage to the pan. The apples and sage are truly incredible additions to this recipe, so don’t miss them out.

10. Bacon Wrapped Chipolatas

These appetizers are not only delicious, but they’re also keto-friendly! And they couldn’t be easier to make! Just wrap the sausages in bacon and secure with toothpicks. Then, roast for about 10 minutes before slathering on the BBQ sauce.  After two rounds of baking and basting, these mini sausages should be ready to go! Click on a star to rate it!
